The City of Elko Street Department is responsible for maintaining over 100 center lane miles of right-of-way within the City limits of the City of Elko. This maintenance includes: pothole patching; weed abatement; street sweeping; gravel road maintenance and dust control; reconstruction projects; traffic markings including crosswalks and striping; traffic and street name signage; and snow and ice control.
In addition to maintaining City right-of-ways, the Street Department is also responsible for: perimeter fence maintenance; storm drain maintenance; downtown corridor parking lot maintenance; fall leaf collection; and Christmas tree collection.
