The City of Elko Municipal Landfill is open to all residential and contractor related customers

Local Contractors and other Businesses may pay a $50.00 minimum monthly fee to hold a charge account with the City of Elko Landfill. This paper work must be done in the presence of a City of Elko employee and is not available on this website. For more information please call the City of Elko Finance Department at (775) 777-7136.

The City of Elko has contracted with Waste Connections for the collection of residential and commercial sanitation and recycling collection.  For collection dates and fees please contact Waste Connections and at (775) 738-3771.

Presidents Day (3rd Monday in February)
Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)
Juneteenth (June 19)
Independence Day (July 4th)
Labor Day (1st Monday in September)
Nevada Day (Last Friday in October)
Veteran’s Day (November 11)
Thanksgiving Day (4th Thursday in November)
Christmas Day (December 25)
Any other holiday that may be designated by the City Council.
